hey guys,,,no funny pics or silly videos for this post, just a few words I came across from my friends mailer, with reminiscence of those days growing up as a child...hope it applies to most of you guys :)

Fond memories For those who born in the 70s and 80s.
1. You grew up watching He-man, MASK, Transformers, Silver Hawk andMickey Mouse. Not to forget, Ninja turtles, MyLittle Pony and Smurfs too.
2. You grew up brushing your teeth with a mugin Primary school during recess time. You will squat by a drainwith all your classmates beside you, and brush your teethwith a coloured mug.The teachers said you must brush each side 10 times too.
3. You know what SBC stands for.
4. You pay 40 cents for Chocolate or Strawberry MILK every week in class.
5. You watch a very popular Malay dubbed Japanese drama on RTM1about schoolgirls who possess powerful skills in volleyball called Meoro Attack.
6. You find your friends with pagers and handphone cool in Secondary school.
7. SBS buses used to be non-airconditioned. The bus seats are madeof wood and the cushion is red. The big red bell gives a loud BEEP!when pressed. There are colourful tickets forTIBS buses.Theconductor will check for tickets by using a machine whichpunches a hole in the ticket.

30. In Primary six you had to play buddy for theyounger kids like big sister and brother.
31. We wear BM2000, BATA, or Pallas shoes.
32. Your form teacher taught you Maths, Science and English.
33. The worksheets were made of brown rough paper of poor quality.
34. You went to school in slippers and a raincoat when it rained,and you find a dry spot in the school to sit down, dry your feet,and wear your dry and warm socks and shoes.
35. School dismissal time was normally around 1 pm.
36. There would be spelling tests and mentalsums to do almost everyday.
37. Your friends considered you lucky and rich ifyour parents gave you $3 or more for pocket money everyday.
38. You see Wee Kim Wee's face in the school hall.
39. You freak out when the teacher tells you toline up according to height and hold hands with the corresponding boy or girl
40. Boys like to catch fighting spiders.
41. Collecting and battling erasers was a pastime for boys.
42. Autograph books were loaded with "BestWishes", "Forget Me Not", and smallpoems like "Bird fly high, hard to catch.Friend like you, hard to forget".
43. Class monitors and prefects loved to say "You talk somemore, Iwrite your name ah!"
44. There were at least 40 people in one class.
45. Large, colourful schoolbags were carried.
46. You brought every single book to school, even though there wasone thing called the timetable.

Spread this heart warming messagearound, you don't get something like this very often.

today.. one of my fren complained that she saw a pair of eyes staring at her inside the cubicle of the gym girls toilet... she caught the pair of eyes and ask me and dawn if we recognised who the pervertic pair of eyes belonged to.. it took us.. 1 sec to recognise it... cfm its him.. its BEN's EYES!!!! still cant believe it... so we asked marc and claire to cfm it.. yupp.. its definately ben's eyes!! so girls.. beware when u use the toilets in sch alright.. u nv know when his eyes will drop by again...

Everyone, think, and ponder why this team matters to you, if it matters at all. I hope it does.

I think I count myself fortunate to have you guys. First of all, at least I know we're all in this together. At least I know that when I'm in the sun, you guys are in the sun with me. (whether reluctantly or not)

And I know that each and everyone of us count for as much as the next person in the team. Some of you might play more points than others, but I know for sure that I need each and everyone of you. We're all equals. I just hope we come together to make a whole that's greater than the sum of parts. I believe that we can. Come Saturday, we're gonna unleash our potential and make it all work. I believe it.

Some things you should do before/during Sing Opens '06:
- Stay healthy and hydrated!
- Wear lots of sunblock!
- Layout for every disc!
- Play like a mad man/woman
- Remember the basics and our tactics!
- Have ALOT of fun

One thing you should NOT do during Sing Opens '06:

- Check out your own butt while a game is going on.

Sebas has a very good point there...I think it will be highly advisable for those planning to do layouts to wear long socks at the very least. Well let me just share with you some pictures i took after sliding on a field full of mimosas at sengkang during my summer league experience:

woo hoo.. its 10 days to SUO...

for those who havnt.. maybe its time to get urself some sunblock... hahaha... ppl who been to last yr one wld tell u.. everyone ended up being so burnt and tanned.. the next day back in sch.. somehow.. everyone seems to know who are the frisbee people.. i wonder why.. hahaha.. so sun block!

next on the list... thick long socks... it will reduce the possibility of blisters appearing.. and with long socks.. u can slide and layout all u want.. just ask ben... hahaaha...

last but not least... do check the condition of your boots... haha.. if it looks like its gonna break soon.. better go buy a new one and season it a little... u dun want it to split open during the opens..

i hope we kick nyp asses later.. haha.. oh well...

The gridlines that dissect the spreadsheet begin to fade away and all I can think of is disc.

hey dudes and babes,,, as part of our preparations for OPENS, we will be having a scrimmage with NYP at their school on 30 aug (wed) at 4pm. The scrimmage will be part of the school's effort to promote ultimate frisbee over there, so there MIGHT be a crowd watching. BUT, the more important thing is that we reach there punctually and not be LATE (not nice to kep them waiting). For those that have not play a scrimmage in a while, pls pls pls do try to make it for this valuable match experience ya...

hey guys just in case some of you havent been counting, there are ONLY 7 official training sessions before SINGAPORE OPENS!!

So for those that hope to achieve anything useful from the opens, this is an appeal to you to conduct your own conditioning or chuck-abouts on campus green. Time is not on our side, so lets make the most of the remaining 19 days we have before opens...
